In a dream
it's real
in life
it's a dream...

— Mackenzie Thorpe

During his 30-year career, Mackenzie Thorpe has achieved global success throughout America, Japan and Australia, with collectors such as JK Rowling, HM Queen Elizabeth II and Tom Hardy. However Yorkshire remains his home and this sculpture is homage to the hills, dales and forests where he grew up by the banks of the river Tees.

Born as the first of seven children into a post-war industrial town, Mackenzie Thorpe's work is wide-ranging from the optimistic 'duffle coat boys' to more challenging work focusing on isolation and man's struggle. Much of his work depicts his childhood growing up in Middlesbrough where he first worked in the shipyards.

With public sculptures in his native Yorkshire: Mackenzie Thorpe's meticulous technique has now been rendered in pristine stainless steel for a luxury finish, with these very special limited editions.
