The well-renowned canals of the world has been perfectly-poised in many collector's requests' for urban-like artwork, which has paved the way for some very exciting projects from oil-painters, Veronika Benoniand Paul Kenton. Honouring these requests, both artists have expanded on their geographical-horizon to create some beautiful pieces of popular canals from the central points of Europe, like Amsterdam, to the voluptuous scenery of Venice. On deciding to take up painting as a profession, she understood that this would entail a lot of long and hard study, Veronika received a great deal of support from her grandfather; an architect. Years later, and Veronika Benoni has forged a unique style in a competitive space of urban-art which has seen her paint some of the most famous landmarks of international cities.

Wyecliffe has always acknowledged the architectural presence and beauty of the capital cities of the world, alongside the talented artists few and far between who have carved out their own niches, our selective group of cityscape talent has been underlined by a habit of capturing the personality of these wonderful cities to create engaging artwork. We wanted to have a re-visit of some these artworks whilst showcasing the different personalities of the major cities that give them their name.

Jo Bowen, for example, has had a long affiliation with Wyecliffe in connection to his well-liked, acrylic compositions painted from bridges, like the art-enthusiasts seen painting London at the dusk of dawn hoping to create a name for their work, as Jo Bowen had done. American painter, Chris DeRubeis, has also been recognised for paintings that bring to you the world of celestial abstraction, capturing coloured soaked light which appears to spring from his art. With his soft lines, he weaves together forms of metal sculpture and paint to make his composition flow in harmony.
