Self taught, with the encouragement of an artistic family, Tuscan painter Paola Cassais began her career as an interior designer and window-dresser: her formative year inspired by Italian design as well as the beautiful scenery of her native Florence.
The forward-thinking artist won admiration very early in her career for her delightfully cheerful beachscapes which are a true ode to the best of long summer days. Playing with the formations of her colourful beachgoers, motifs quickly emerged casting long shadows across the sands.
