British artist Paul Wright creates vivid portraits, still lifes, and landscapes bursting with vitality through his energetic brushwork and rich color palette. He has developed a recognizable personal style over his 25+ year career. Wright has exhibited internationally with Thompson's Gallery for 15 years. His work is held in numerous corporate and university collections, including Prudential, Standard Chartered Bank, and Texas State University.
Originally trained as an illustrator, Wright continues to push his expressive painting toward a semi-abstract style that evocatively captures the vitality and inner life of his subjects. Wright’s achievements include being shortlisted for the BP Portrait Award and having solo shows across the UK. He lives and works in Leicestershire.
