The Kerry Darlington Godric’s Hollow Collection has taken inspiration from the birthplace of J K Rowlings iconic character Harry Potter. Drawing on very early works crafted under the theme of ‘Through the Village’, the artist has created a hamlet of spindly buildings and quirky architecture referencing the Victorian movement of Steampunk and Escher’s infinite staircases. Unique editions such as Little Wiccansville, as well as matching pair Strangeauld Place and Godrics Lane debuted at one of Wyecliffe Galleries annual events with the artist herself in attendance. Original works by Kerry Darlington within this series such as Datura Row and Seraphina Close have magnificent impact, set within palettes of dove grey and warm taupe’s accented with fluid metallic inks.
