Instead, they opted to travel to metropolitan environments and embrace the creative freedom they saw in pop and street art, taking a more organic, interpersonal approach between subject and expression. Having a particular interest in urban and pop art, movies, comics, the 90’s grunge scene, graffiti/spray art and various styles of technical production, Kid-A dives into different cultural and contemporary elements borrowed from street art and pop culture. Not being constrained to one theme or idea allows Kid-A to experiment with a broader spectrum of subjects, themes of identity and emotions.
With inspirations drawn from artists such as Banksy and Roy Lichtenstein, Kid-A creates unique, often hectic installations with a grungy urban flare, fluorescent pops of colour and mixed media usage to create vibrant conceptual pieces.
