LIGHTING UP OUR GALLERIES
Becky Smith’s Life In Colour exhibition at our Weybridge galleries was nothing short of spectacular, drawing collectors and art lovers into a world alive with vibrancy, creativity, and connection. From the moment the doors opened, the galleries buzzed with excitement as attendees were greeted by Becky herself, eager to meet her collectors and share the stories behind her striking new works.
The exhibition was a feast for the senses, with blackouts showing each piece's unique glow-in-the-dark embellishments, the amazing live Saxophonist creating the best atmosphere, and the great energy all of the collections brought. The immersive studio space, transformed by Becky herself, was a standout highlight. Bathed in UV lighting, the room became a glowing showcase of her intricate use of embellishments—gold accents, glitter, and UV-reactive paint—making the artwork pop in ways that left us all in awe. Becky even painted the studio floor in her new graffiti-inspired style, adding to the atmosphere with a stunning photo opportunity against a mural she created especially for the event.
The response was overwhelming, with loads of new and previously released editions and originals sold throughout the evening. All nine of her new mini originals were snapped up on the night! Each piece brought fresh, vibrant concepts that truly resonated with collectors, further cementing Becky’s ability to captivate her audience. The energy in the gallery was palpable as guests enjoyed not only the stunning visuals but also the opportunity to speak with Becky directly about her creative process and inspirations.
To top off the evening, every collector who purchased a piece during the show or attended the in-gallery exhibition was entered into an exclusive Artist Proof Giveaway. We’re thrilled to announce that Meg Day won the print giveaway, receiving a stunning Artist Proof Edition of Life Is What You Make It. The night was a true celebration of Becky’s talent and the community that surrounds her work.
