We contact every one of our collectors upon receipt of their artwork requesting an impartial review.

This term references original paintings created by Kerry Darlington from acrylic paints and typically finished with delicate layers of matte resin. They are the images that the artist chooses to also publish a limited edition print from. These original works are intricate and can involve several weeks or months to produce, though these can take up to a year of dedicated work to complete. The limited editions (referenced as ‘Unique Editions’) are produced from a scan of the original piece. The original painting is then framed and offered for acquisition.

Used to describe Kerry’s wider portfolio of original artworks. Mostly finished with gloss resin, these original works often feature 3-D elements or many layers of acrylic paint and gloss resin to offer a translucent finish resembling stained glass or ceramics. These are stand-alone paintings without supporting edition prints and as such may only be acquired as an original. Some of Kerry’s most recognisable collections reside within this genre, including works from The Wild and Free series as well as classic Tree of Life motif.

The most common term used in conjunction with Kerry’s edition works. These are of edition sizes above 50, and can go up to 350 in total, though most usually they are total size of 75, 95, 150 or 195 internationally. The phrase unique references that every edition is slightly different, where the 3D elements vary in placement and colour. Other editions will have metallic ink carefully run through the gloss resin as it sets, also creating a lovely individual effect on each edition. Every edition (including boutique, and Artist Proof editions) feature Darlington’s original signature on the bottom left or right of the artwork, either on a scroll or directly onto the resin surface itself.

Specifically applicable to edition sizes of less than 50. Boutique refers to the smaller edition print run available on the public market. These also comprise the same ‘unique’ differences that Kerry is known for on her larger editions sizes, though singles the works out of an overall smaller availability. Examples of Boutique Editions are titles such as Her Book of Ivy, Matching Set of Alice in Wonderland Pencil Sketches, and Gift of the Dreamers

Used to signal an edition (either Unique or Boutique) which is tricky to come by. This can indicate the title has either sold out and the edition listed is the final piece available, there are very few editions remaining available to acquire, or an edition that has come to market as a secondary market sale (i.e. a piece which is being re-sold).

The term Artist Proof (which also can be noted as AP) is a small set of editions released at the same time of either a Unique or Boutique edition. In historical terms they were also known as Printers Proofs as they were the first editions trialed to ensure the colour match on the editions was correct as per the artists vision – they were often gifted by artists to friends and family, or swapped with other artists to collect work rather than being released to sale. These days technology has come on so far that the colours don’t alter from AP to main edition, and Kerry has elected to release them to sale. As they are first made in a print run, some collectors covet these as a preference, though this is down to the individual collector.

Signifying the largest editions available within Kerry Darlington’s portfolio, the Deluxe XL edition relates to some of the artists most iconic titles which have been transformed by sheer scale. Sometimes available in addition to the unique edition scale, or in some instances the only format available – the Deluxe XL edition is often closer in size to the original painting Darlington has created.

Twits Twoos and Tweets in a deep edge circular edition is presented ready to hang in your home, and which doesn’t require framing.

If you have purchased an original artwork during this evening’s event, then we are pleased to confirm that your new artwork will be delivered to your home in the frame as shown in the accompanying images.

Kerry Darlington’s existing unique editions may carry silver/blue, white gloss and black/gold frame options. Available frame choices will be clearly indicated with selectable options. If an artwork has no selectable options for frame choices, then please refer to the imagery of the piece as this will be the presentation of the work when delivered to your home.

If you would prefer a different choice of frame, please contact our team from Monday 29th April 2024 and we will do our very best to accommodate this, though please note any change of frame may incur additional charges which will be provided by individual quotation. Bespoke framing typically has a 3-4-week lead time. Our Advice is to secure the artwork you are interested in (to avoid missing out), and then to reach out to our aftersales support team to discuss alternative frames after the exhibition.

All unique editions unveiled as part of this evening’s event are due to be delivered to our galleries from Kerry Darlington’s studio by early to mid June. As soon as we have a delivery time scale for your order, one of our friendly team will be in touch to arrange a convenient week-day delivery date. This is applicable to the following:

We are delighted to confirm that the vast majority of original works and unique editions purchased as part of our Special Launch Evening are available for immediate dispatch. A member of our After-Sales Team will be in touch to discuss your most convenient weekday delivery date. Please note that the Kerry Darlington Exclusive Free Gift Bundle may be posted to you separately, following the delivery of your artwork.

Please note that owing to the anticipated volume of selections made by our amazing collectors all over the world, and our golden standard 12-point checks taking place on all works sold prior to releasing to delivery, it may take our team a few days to reach out to you.

We are proud to offer fully insured delivery via courier to the UK mainland free of charge with all works purchased as part of this evening’s ‘The Tangled Roots of Fairytales and Forests’ Exhibition.

Placed on a premium service, works arriving on the UK mainland will arrive during a one-hour timed slot which will be communicated by the courier directly on the date of arrival via text message. This service is available on the weekday of your choosing – Monday-Friday weekly (excluding Bank Holidays). Some postcodes in outlying areas (including Cornwall, Scotland and Wales) may not be possible to be placed on a next-day service upon booking, and our friendly After-Sales Team will be glad to help discuss this through when booking your delivery date.

We thank you for your patience and our dedicated After-Sales Team will be on hand following dispatch should you have any queries once your wonderful new artwork has been dispatched.

Please note that all parcels require a signature, therefore somebody will need to be at the property to sign for the goods – owing to the value of the goods, we sadly can’t recommend or authorise any works being left in a safe place.

Offshore UK deliveries including (but not limited to) the Isle of Man, the Channel Islands, the Isle of Wight, the Isles of Scilly, Northern Ireland, and remote areas of Scotland, are typically available on a 2-3 day delivery service following dispatch.

Saturday deliveries may also be requested, which are available for a small additional fee of £25 per delivery. We also offer a full range of urgent and same-day delivery options, which may be organised and quoted per order. Professional installation may be offered by quotation to some areas of the UK. Please note that some items are excluded from the free delivery offer, including very large and fragile works of art which may require a specialist delivery service. Please contact us for quotations in these circumstances.

Wyecliffe Galleries offers fully insured delivery to both Europe and Worldwide. Overseas delivery times range from 3 - 21 working days and full tracking is provided as soon as your chosen artwork/s is in transit with the couriers. Prices are automatically calculated once your shipping address has been added to the basket. All international deliveries are packaged in a custom-made crate, designed for safe transit.

In the rare instances, you would like to return your artwork, we offer a 14-day guaranteed returns policy on internet and phone purchases to help you buy with confidence. A credit note can be issued for exchange so that we can help you find a fantastic alternative, or a refund will be applied to the original card used within 7 working days of the goods being safely returned to us. All free gifts received must also be returned to us in pristine condition alongside the artwork/s themselves.

Please note that if you would like us to arrange the collection then the cost of the collection will be deducted from the original purchase price. It is the responsibility of the collector to deliver the artworks purchased safely back to our trading address; the cost of the return is the buyer’s responsibility. In the exceptional circumstance that there has been some damage incurred during transit, the gallery will arrange collection to return the work. A restored or replacement artwork will be sent in applicable circumstances if possible, or else a refund provided.

For European and Worldwide orders, returns may also be arranged. As soon as we receive your confirmation a member of our After-Sales Team will be in touch to organise a suitable collection date. Once your artwork has arrived back in our galleries, a refund to your original payment method will be arranged, minus the shipping costs.

All our artwork is sent fully insured. In the exceptional circumstance there has been some damage incurred during transit we require you to notify us within 24 hours of the delivery and supply images of the area of concern and the gallery will assess the best steps forward. A restored or replacement artwork will be sent in applicable circumstances if possible, or else a refund provided.

Purchases made as part of ‘The Tangled Roots of Fairytales and Forests’ Event on Saturday 27th April 2024 between 7pm-11pm with Kerry Darlington will not be eligible to redeem points against, nor will any purchases made during these hours qualify to accrue points to redeem against future purchases.
