Kerry Darlington Art

Kerry Darlington has captivated a generation of art collectors with her imaginative original paintings and unique print editions. Inspired by legendary stories ranging from the Wizard of Oz, Peter Pan and Alice in Wonderland, the artist immortalises these beloved fairy tales into fine art paintings with astonishing technical excellence and attention to detail.

Born in Rhyl in 1974, the artist has stayed in her home of North Wales, basing her studio the sleepy seaside town of Prestatyn. Having adored pictures books as young child and with a degree in in fine art illustration under her belt the stage was set for one of the UK’s best-selling artists to emerge. Having long drawn inspiration from the magical stories she adored as a young child, the artist has developed a rich world weaving together notions from classic Welsh fables to contemporary novels written by Tolkein and JK Rowling. In the artistic world the mystical faeries by Arthur Rackham continue to be referenced in her works to this day, whilst other enduring inspirations may be found in sources as widely ranging as the fantastical Victorian-mechanical Steam Punk. Resulting in spellbinding works, collectors from every generation have been captivated by the world and imagination of Kerry Darlington.

Wyecliffe Galleries has been the home of Kerry Darlington for over a decade, with an extensive collection of originals and editions for sale from her most iconic collections, including Tree of Life, Pre-Raphaelite and Natures Faeries to name but a few. Known as the original resin artist, Darlington is attributed as the founder of the modern phenomenal of finishing art in gloss resin; an eye-catching material widely used in contemporary art to this day. Her influence extends to her revolutionary concept of the ‘unique edition’ whereby every printed piece is treated to differing 3D elements and metallic detailing to produce a hand-crafted individual piece.

Helping to navigate her portfolio and providing advice on investment pieces to clients based in the UK and internationally, Wyecliffe Galleries holds the largest archive of works by Kerry Darlington in the world.
