Inspired by the magical bustle of Harry Potter's Diagon Alley, Kerry Darlington’s 'Knick Knack Alley' reimagines a secret corner of the wizarding world through her signature gothic-meets-steampunk style. A spiritual continuation of her celebrated Godric’s Hollow series, this original painting captures a row of higgledy-piggledy houses, each one alive with personality and charm.

Tilted rooftops, leaning chimneys, and softly glowing windows rise out of a dreamy, lilac-hued mist, an enchanting skyline where every turret and gable hints at unseen stories. With its intricate textures and atmospheric palette of mauves, greys, and moonlit violets, 'Knick Knack Alley' feels like a place where spells are still cast behind crooked doors and cauldrons bubble long into the night.

Darlington’s architecture is always more than bricks and beams; it’s storytelling in structure. Here, she builds a whimsical world that blurs nostalgia and imagination, a place where magic still feels possible, and every window hides a secret worth discovering.

Experience and care with each order

Trading for over 30 years, we have made art our passion. Therefore we have developed a strict set of standards for the safe storage and dispatch of our precious works to our collectors. Our meticulous 12-point checklist ensures every work upholds our exacting quality standards when dispatching one of our artworks.

Starting at dispatch from the artist's studio, we've worked together with our community of artists to ensure delivery to the gallery is as meticulous as possible - each work packaged safe transit.

Upon arrival in our Weybridge showroom, each new arrival is examined by the studio & dispatch team. Frames are scrutinised for a perfect finish: glass is polished to perfection with anti-static art cloths. Auxiliary features like the string/wire and certification on the reverse are checked for positioning and correct mounting. Finally, the work itself is inspected to ensure a flawless transition from studio to gallery. Upon purchase, the work is cleaned again and meticulously subjected to our trademark 12-point checking system to ensure a safe secure journey to its ultimate destination.

With a network of framers, restorers, conservators and art dealers with over 50-years experience in the industry, you can rest assured your world-class art receives the highest level of scrutiny and care.
