"Painted shortly after I opened my Brighton Studio, this cutie was inspired by the towns infamous culture of Burlesque, with its appealing use of 1950’s glamour and the star of the show, Dita Von Teese. This piece exudes feminine charm and coy flirtation, portrayed by the overwhelming seductive pink pallet, in contrast with the innocence of the puffy white, floral sleeves. If you look closely, you will see that the intensely vibrant stripes of the background are interspersed with delicate gold lines that draw out an image of the Royal Pavilion." - Louise Dear
