'Cygnus' is one of Kerry Darlington’s most enchanting celestial works; a serene vision of a fairy resting against a magnificent swan beneath the shimmer of moonlight and stars. Painted upon a luminous ground of hand-applied silver leaf, with touches of gold leaf that glint like stardust, this original radiates ethereal calm.

The title takes its name from the constellation Cygnus, the Latin word for “swan” and is a symbol of purity, transformation, and grace. Against the silver sky, the swan enfolds the little fairy in a protective curve of feathers as she holds a single star in her palms, a quiet symbol of wonder and hope. Above them, the moon glows softly amid a scattering of stars, completing this tender nocturne.

Darlington’s craftsmanship shines in every detail: the feathered textures, the play of metallic light, and the gentle stillness of her subject. 'Cygnus' is a celebration of serenity, imagination, and celestial beauty, an artwork that seems to glow from within, capturing the moment where dreams and constellations meet.

Our meticulous 12-point checklist ensures every work upholds our exacting quality standards when dispatching one of our artworks.

Starting at dispatch from the artist's studio, we've worked together with our community of artists to ensure delivery to the gallery is as meticulous as possible - each work packaged safe transit.

Upon arrival in our Weybridge showroom, each new arrival is examined by the studio & dispatch team. Frames are scrutinised for a perfect finish: glass is polished to perfection with anti-static art cloths. Auxiliary features like the string/wire and certification on the reverse are checked for positioning and correct mounting. Finally, the work itself is inspected to ensure a flawless transition from studio to gallery. Upon purchase, the work is cleaned again and meticulously subjected to our trademark 12-point checking system to ensure a safe secure journey to its ultimate destination.
