Lama’s Lips is a bold and intimate tribute to Louise Dear’s daughter, Lama, a recurring muse behind this expressive study of form, feeling, and femininity. Created during lockdown, this piece reflects Louise’s exploration of the individual components that make up the whole, isolating the lips to see how they could carry emotion and meaning on their own. Rich pinks, painterly texture and her signature heart motif speak to love, identity, and maternal pride in equal measure.
