The Myth Behind the Magic....
Collecting fragments of European folklore, the infamous Brothers Grimm created literature which has woven a thread of magic throughout the art of storytelling. Appropriating Germanic figures including Little Red Riding Hood, Rapunzel, and Sleeping Beautythe brothers recorded whispers handed down from parent to child, developing narratives to illuminate a fantastical and sometimes subversive land, far far away. Working all but simultaneously in Denmark in the 19th Century, cultural icon Hans Christian Anderson was penning a collection of now iconic original fairy tales including the Little Mermaid and the Snow Queenencapsulating the Nordic spirit.
