Forever Summer - Original

Forever Summer - Original Painting by Eduu (also known as Edôô)

Bright, vibrant and unapologetically playful, a striking celebration of beauty, pop culture and the seductive optimism of sun-drenched coastlines, commanding attention with its colour, detail and extraordinary techniques.

Initially, the composition feels bold, contemporary and almost cinematic with its Hollywood glamour. Up close, an entirely different world reveals itself.

The painting contains hundreds of individual comic book snapshots, transforming fragments of 20th-century popular culture into a richly layered portrait. Each miniature comic illustration is individually presented beneath a 3-dimensional bubble, creating a tactile, jewel-like surface that catches and reflects the light. Faces, superheroes, action scenes and graphic fragments emerge across the work, inviting the viewer to continually discover new details.

This interplay between the glamorous central image and the multitude of comic-book moments beneath it gives the work its distinctive energy. It is both a portrait and a visual archive—a collision of Hollywood, comic-book mythology, advertising, celebrity and mass media.

A statement piece with exceptional presence, this is an artwork designed to be enjoyed both from across a room and at remarkably close range - where its hundreds of hidden images make every viewing a new experience.
