Kerry Darlington Alice Print

Free Gift Worth £215

Full of charm, character and Kerry Darlington's unmistakable storytelling, 'By the Pond' is a delightful compact original bringing together some of the artist's favourite creatures from the natural world.

At its heart is Kerry's much-loved tree frog, joined by two wonderfully inquisitive birds, each given a personality of their own. Kerry describes the female as "a bit bossy", keeping her companion firmly in check and making sure he doesn't get away with anything. It's a small detail, but one that captures Kerry's remarkable ability to give the creatures within her paintings real charisma and character.

Richly layered and beautifully detailed, 'By the Pond' invites the eye to travel through its foliage, colour and intricate surface, revealing new details the longer you spend with it. Its intimate scale makes it particularly appealing for collectors looking for an original Kerry Darlington artwork that can bring a little magic and personality to almost any space.

A completely one-of-a-kind work, 'By the Pond' is a joyful example of the imagination, craftsmanship and gentle humour that have made Kerry Darlington one of Britain's most collected contemporary artists.

Experience and care with each order

Trading for over 30 years, we have made art our passion. Therefore we have developed a strict set of standards for the safe storage and dispatch of our precious works to our collectors. Our meticulous 12-point checklist ensures every work upholds our exacting quality standards when dispatching one of our artworks.

Starting at dispatch from the artist's studio, we've worked together with our community of artists to ensure delivery to the gallery is as meticulous as possible - each work packaged safe transit.

Upon arrival in our Weybridge showroom, each new arrival is examined by the studio & dispatch team. Frames are scrutinised for a perfect finish: glass is polished to perfection with anti-static art cloths. Auxiliary features like the string/wire and certification on the reverse are checked for positioning and correct mounting. Finally, the work itself is inspected to ensure a flawless transition from studio to gallery. Upon purchase, the work is cleaned again and meticulously subjected to our trademark 12-point checking system to ensure a safe secure journey to its ultimate destination.

With a network of framers, restorers, conservators and art dealers with over 50-years experience in the industry, you can rest assured your world-class art receives the highest level of scrutiny and care.
