Kerry Darlington’s 'The Oak’s Wisdom' captures a moment suspended between seasons, when autumn’s golden light fades, and nature pauses to remember. At the heart of this luminous composition stands an ancient oak tree, its branches reaching out like veins of time, glowing with warmth and quiet authority.

Painted in a rich symphony of burnished coppers, deep ambers, and glowing gold, this piece evokes the age-old symbolism of the oak: strength, knowledge, and endurance. Two ethereal stags stand beneath its canopy; gentle guardians of the forest and timeless emblems of nature’s grace.

Darlington’s mastery of texture and light is on full display here; her alchemical layering technique gives the tree’s roots and leaves a living depth, as if the forest itself breathes through the canvas. 'The Oak’s Wisdom' is a powerful meditation on continuity, a reminder that wisdom, like the oak, grows slowly but endures forever.

Trading for over 30 years, we have made art our passion. Therefore we have developed a strict set of standards for the safe storage and dispatch of our precious works to our collectors. Our meticulous 12-point checklist ensures every work upholds our exacting quality standards when dispatching one of our artworks.

Starting at dispatch from the artist's studio, we've worked together with our community of artists to ensure delivery to the gallery is as meticulous as possible - each work packaged safe transit.

Upon arrival in our Weybridge showroom, each new arrival is examined by the studio & dispatch team. Frames are scrutinised for a perfect finish: glass is polished to perfection with anti-static art cloths. Auxiliary features like the string/wire and certification on the reverse are checked for positioning and correct mounting. Finally, the work itself is inspected to ensure a flawless transition from studio to gallery. Upon purchase, the work is cleaned again and meticulously subjected to our trademark 12-point checking system to ensure a safe secure journey to its ultimate destination.
