Aura I - Kerry Darlington

An atmospheric exploration of colour, movement and natural beauty, Aura I reveals a softer, more ethereal dimension of Kerry Darlington's abstract artistry.

Delicate layers of rose pink, lavender, powder blue and smoky charcoal flow diagonally across the composition, interwoven with warm earthy tones and intricate, mineral-like formations. Inspired by the elusive quality suggested by its title, Aura I evokes a sense of energy and atmosphere, with colours appearing to emerge, dissolve and transform across the surface.

Metallic leaf embellishments introduce delicate flashes of luminosity, while a gloss resin finish enhances the depth and fluidity of Kerry's richly layered mixed media techniques. The interplay between soft, cloud-like passages and darker, branching details creates a captivating balance of delicacy and drama.

Created alongside its companion painting, Aura II, this original forms one half of a beautifully coordinated pair. Sharing a harmonious palette and flowing composition, the two artworks can be acquired individually or displayed together, creating a striking visual dialogue across both surfaces.

A one-of-a-kind original painting, Aura I showcases Kerry's intuitive approach to colour and texture, offering an elegant, contemporary composition that rewards closer inspection.

Providing quality at every step

Experience and care with each order

Trading for over 30 years, we have made art our passion. Therefore we have developed a strict set of standards for the safe storage and dispatch of our precious works to our collectors. Our meticulous 12-point checklist ensures every work upholds our exacting quality standards when dispatching one of our artworks.

Starting at dispatch from the artist's studio, we've worked together with our community of artists to ensure delivery to the gallery is as meticulous as possible - each work packaged safe transit.

Upon arrival in our Weybridge showroom, each new arrival is examined by the studio & dispatch team. Frames are scrutinised for a perfect finish: glass is polished to perfection with anti-static art cloths. Auxiliary features like the string/wire and certification on the reverse are checked for positioning and correct mounting. Finally, the work itself is inspected to ensure a flawless transition from studio to gallery. Upon purchase, the work is cleaned again and meticulously subjected to our trademark 12-point checking system to ensure a safe secure journey to its ultimate destination.

With a network of framers, restorers, conservators and art dealers with over 50-years experience in the industry, you can rest assured your world-class art receives the highest level of scrutiny and care.
