"A year like no other… I found myself drawn to distant, familiar places in my mind’s eye. The title Mar Azul is a paean to the Atlantic Ocean and the fantastic array of colours that appear as you look out from Miami across the shallow water over the sandbars. The title also refers to the great Cabo Verdean singer Cesaria Evora, whose songs about the sea and her homeland, filled with melancholic longing, felt particularly poignant this year." - Scott Bauer
