FAQs - Art as an Investment

As an alternative to first growth wine and prestigious cars, fine art is a popular choice for investors to yield returns as a long term strategy.

Timing is pivotal and in many cases it may be some years before additional value is accrued in your artwork; in five years’ time what is currently selling for £1,000 may sell for £5,000, but equally, may still sell at its original asking price.

At Wyecliffe Galleries we nurture our artists and work hard to secure high profile commissions and place their pieces into prominent collections to protect and add value to whole portfolios. However the art market is a volatile place susceptible to external influencing factors such as global economic and political events and trends are always moving.

There are no guarantees when it comes to collecting art, and we always advise our clients to feel happy with their selections and buy to enjoy first and foremost!
