50 Years of Punk - Matching Limited Edition Set

Fifty years after the birth of British punk, Mark Illuminati looks back at the music, personalities and attitude that shaped his youth with this matching set of three limited editions.

Featuring Sid Vicious of the Sex Pistols, Siouxsie Sioux of Siouxsie and the Banshees and Joe Strummer of The Clash, the collection is deeply personal. Growing up around London’s emerging punk scene, Mark describes punk as the force that made him “question everything”, later crossing paths with many of the musicians who defined the movement.

The three compositions originate from Mark’s oil paintings on wood and take inspiration from Victorian playing cards, with Sid, Siouxsie and Joe occupying the King, Queen and Jack positions respectively, traditional imagery brilliantly at odds with punk’s rebellious spirit.

Each artwork is produced as a hand-finished limited edition of just 50, with this complete set bringing all three icons together as Mark’s celebration of 50 Years of Punk.
