Azure Suite - Original

"So much of my work is inspired by the sea. Having grown up near the ocean in Florida, the infinite subtlety of light and colour playing on the horizon between sea and sky has always captivated me. Here the nod to a musical form in the title also conveys something of the creative process for me; as I work out a composition using an entirely abstract vocabulary, I often liken the process to creating a musical composition, with subtle shifts and variations on a theme, dictating the structure of the picture." - Scott Bauer
