Non No Nanette - Original
'Twins with a single pulsing heart gazing out from the canvas with 'knowing innocence'. They have the same intricate curls and glossy, plump red lips, only different-coloured eyes of piercing blue and teal suggesting that they are, in fact, independent beings. I first coated the background in copper leaf, carefully occupying all of the negative spaces to allow the image to pop from the canvas as though the decapitated forms are simply floating in space. This luscious leaf was then covered in my signature black and white stripes, rendered in contrasting textures, mattes and glosses in an intricate design of Japanese inspired blossom. The petals' independent form appears as butterflies or other creatures that inhabit the blooming buds. The paint has then been softly sanded back to allow the under layers to protrude giving the viewer glimpses of the inner depths and the shimmering lushness of the copper leaf. Look closely at the lush petals of the peony and you'll also spot small images and stickers that have been encapsulated inside the sealed bubble of the varnish - all symbols of my world, flamingos, sunshine and sparkles.'

Trading for over 30 years, we have made art our passion. Therefore we have developed a strict set of standards for the safe storage and dispatch of our precious works to our collectors. Our meticulous 12-point checklist ensures every work upholds our exacting quality standards when dispatching one of our artworks.
Starting at dispatch from the artist's studio, we've worked together with our community of artists to ensure delivery to the gallery is as meticulous as possible - each work packaged safe transit.
Upon arrival in our Weybridge showroom, each new arrival is examined by the studio & dispatch team. Frames are scrutinised for a perfect finish: glass is polished to perfection with anti-static art cloths. Auxiliary features like the string/wire and certification on the reverse are checked for positioning and correct mounting. Finally, the work itself is inspected to ensure a flawless transition from studio to gallery. Upon purchase, the work is cleaned again and meticulously subjected to our trademark 12-point checking system to ensure a safe secure journey to its ultimate destination.
With a network of framers, restorers, conservators and art dealers with over 50-years experience in the industry, you can rest assured your world-class art receives the highest level of scrutiny and care.
