Meet our new Artist: Cat Tesla

Cat Tesla is already a sensation in her native USA and worldwide – now Wyecliffe Galleries are incredibly proud to be her official UK distributor, bringing her celebrations of nature and spirit to a whole new audience.

Born in St. Louis, Missouri; Catherine ‘Cat’ Tesla has always drawn inspiration from the varied natural landscape of her homeland and her hiking travels worldwide; including Serbia, Croatia, Mexico and Montenegro.

A former genetic counsellor, Cat brings a wealth of empathy and insight into her extraordinary impressionistic canvases. Beginning with an automatic drawing in graphite; translucent layers of wax crayon, acrylic inks, oil pastel and custom glazes are applied. Merging ethereal landscapes and abstract designs, her mission is to create tranquil, meditative canvases to calm, heal and relax observers.

Along with keen interests in exploring, mediation, gardening and Anusara yoga; Cat is a tireless worker both in the studio and out at exhibitions and fairs. Her art is collected worldwide and has featured in many publications - even linking back to her previous profession with four covers of the medical journal Genetics in Medicine.

Here’s a closer look at one of our newly arrived Cat Tesla Originals ‘On the Willows’
