Rozanne Bell's Sculptural Animals

Reclaimed Metal Menagerie

A collection of upcycled metal animal sculptures from Zimbabwe, reimagined by the skilled hand of artist Rozanne Bell. Each piece is layers with resin and acrylic in Bell's delightful style, with no two sculptures the same in construction or design.
As Bell's flagship gallery, she has entrusted us to bring you these sculptures that are so close to her heart.

SUPPORTING ZIMBABWE

This collection has been over two years in the making, with Rozanne ordering a container of these metal animals from her home country of Zimbabwe. Bell wants to share these amazing artworks with her collectors and for those who might not have any space on their walls for more art.

"The talent of these Zimbabwean sculptors is so remarkable - it blows my mind that each piece is crafted out of scrap metal. They are rough, raw and so honest."

- Rozanne Bell

Each remarkable sculpture has been crafted from upcycled metal by talented artists in Zimbabwe. They are then embellished by Bell, using her personal painting style of layering resin and acrylics until her vision is complete. Every item is adorned with a copper coloured circle showing both Rozanne's name and signed initials, uniting them into Bell's wider portfolio of works.

"My dilemma was how to turn outdoor sculptures into something that could be a treasure in one's home and could combine all my art techniques."

- Rozanne Bell

With these figures being originally made to live outside Rozanne had the challenge of translating her painting style onto a 3D canvas, whilst also metamorphosing these into pieces that will live comfortably in her collector's homes.
Lavishing each animal with care and attention, Rozanne wanted to make sure the final sculptures paid proper homage to the artisans that crafted them back in Zimbabwe. I think you will agree with us in saying that she has succeeded in her goal.
