‘Dragon Rider’ is Kerry Darlington’s eagerly awaited follow-up in the magical ‘Worlds Collide’ series. A victorious riot of colour, join the adventure in the skies above the artist’s own interpretation of the legendary wizarding street, Diagon Alley.
In the next chapter of an epic tale set in the World of Witchcraft and Wizardry, Kerry Darlington paints the skies pink in a joyous composition that celebrates childhood adventures. A little girl rides a soaring dragon in a tribute to the original title ‘Worlds Collide’; also in reference to another beloved work of literature, Darlington states that ‘Eragon’ by Christopher Paolini has influenced ‘Dragon Rider’, alongside the iconic Harry Potter series by J.K Rowling. Further weaving her own personal heritage into the work, the mythical Welsh dragon has potent meaning for the artist

Upon arrival in our Weybridge showroom, each new arrival is examined by the studio & dispatch team. Frames are scrutinised for a perfect finish: glass is polished to perfection with anti-static art cloths. Auxiliary features like the string/wire and certification on the reverse are checked for positioning and correct mounting. Finally, the work itself is inspected to ensure a flawless transition from studio to gallery. Upon purchase, the work is cleaned again and meticulously subjected to our trademark 12-point checking system to ensure a safe secure journey to its ultimate destination.
