Emma Grzonkowski's work is inspired by the power of the female presence. Derived from 'femme fatales' from both film and music she looks to portray characters fuelled with the sexualpower, confidence and exuberance of expression.
Music has always been a huge influence over her work; it enables her to completely lose herself, through which her actions and inner self can be translated onto the canvas through paint. Both the act of painting and freedom of music are channels through which she is able to express herself from within.
'Sugar Venom' is inspired by the Lana Del Rey song 'Radio': "Lick me up and take me like vitamin 'cause my body's sweet like sugar venom"
